THE WAIHI-MINES.

- (Per Press Association.) Waihi, July 5. Since the development of the east end of the Waihi Grand Junction mine, which disclosed important values and widths-on the Royal and Empire lodes, and which continue to maintain their values, an assay, by Messrs Haszard and Haszard shows'' that the trend of the Empire lode runs into the Waihi Extended property The management of the latter mine is now driving at a similar level to the Grand junction, with a view of picking up this lode. The Royal lode is running into the Waihi Reefs Consolidated property.
