FOOTBALL.

The weekly meeting .of the North Otago Rugby Football Sub-union was held in 'Mowbray's tea rooms. .There were present:: Mr. MJlvinnon (ill .the chairl, Sergeant: Stagpoole, Dr Orbell, Messrs G. H. Uttley,. W. D. Bunas, A. W. Moss, J. Himburg, and .E. ,G. Williams (secretary). : It was resolved to postpone the seven-a-side tourney indefinitely owing to the. unsettled: nature of the weather. It .was. .decided to send the senior representative team to Timaru on the 11th August, and to Waimate on the 18th, to, play the usual fixtures with those unions. The protest from the Excelsior third-grade team against the High School winning oil the 16th June was upheld, and the match was therefore awarded to the Excelsior-team. The following fixtures will take place on- Thursday: - Athletic-1, v- Excelsior 1., on the Caledonian Ground; Upper -Waitaki I. v. Duntroon 1., at Kurow; High School I. v. Excelsior 11., on the School ground; and Athletic 111. v.. Excelsior 111., on Takaro Park. The usual vote of thanks to the chair closed the meeting* .
