DISGRACEFUL BLASPHEMY.

Late on Saturday night, 25 German sailors marched the, street, led by three men one with a half-muffled drum, another with a concertina, and a third dressed as a woman. The remainder were fantastically draped with crepe. They commenced to play lively airs. The crowd quickly sized up the grotesque proceedings as an insult to the dead King, and a nielee ensued, conducted with ferocity, bottles being used as clubs. Stones were thrown, and nearly every sailor was more or less injured. The musical instruments were battered to pieces. The police rescued them with difficulty. The one dressed as a woman was fined for drunkenness.
