A POLICE REPRESENTATIVE.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, April 29.
A meeting of members of the Police Force was hold last evening, to consider the matter of the nomination of a representative for election to the Public Service Superannuation Board. The name of Inspector Ellison was submitted • for nomination, but Sergeant Dart, of "the Training Depot, told the meeting that, while he took no except tioh to the "nomination of Inspector Ellison, he wished to make it clear he himself would be a candidate for election on the board. He declined to let his name go before the meeting as a candidate, because he recognised that it was out of tho question to expect a constablf present to support his nomination when the non-commissioned officers present were supporting that of the Inspector in charge of the district. He urged that tho mooting should not pledge itself. It -was decided to nominate Inspector Ellison.
