MONEY IN BUNNY.

(Pes Press Association.) Dunedin, September 3. The rabbit industry during the winter has been remarkable. It is estimated that between six hundred thousand and seven hundred thousand skins were purchased weekly at Duncdin. That quantity represents a monetary value of close on £-1000, as for prime doe skins as much as 2s lOd per pound has been paid. There has also been a slight increase in tho prices for lower quality skins. This increase in price has effected prejudicially tho export of rabbits, since the trappers get better prices for skins this season. The supply of skins has enormously increased, this being duo more to better prices than to an increase in the number oi rabbits. It is estimated that practical rabbitei-3 have earned over a pound a day. Although the industry is a, continuous -one, tho supply is now falling off as spring advances.
