The directors of the Hospital Satinday Fund have received a letter from Lieutenant Shackleton mentioning that the result of his lectures in Australia and New Zealand, about £2200, had been handed over to the various cliai-i----table institutions there. He had decided to devote the whole of the proceeds of his lectures there to charities as a token of his gratitude for the substantial aid offered the expedition by the Commonwealth and New Zealand Governments.
