Received September 1, at S.o-5 a.m. London, August 31. Strong disapproval is expressed among the temperance bodies at Mr Llovd-George's amendment to the Licensing Bill allowing grocers to sell quart bottles of whisky. It is asserted that the sale will greatly encourage secret drinking among women.'
