DIVER ATTACKED BY SHARKS.
WORK OX THE WAIPABA.
[Br Electric Telegraph—Cofyric-.J (Per Press Association.) Received September 1, at 10.10 a.m. Brisbane, September 1. A diver working at the Waipara had a sensational encounter with a shark that attacked him. He succeeded in ripping it open with a dagger, and other sharks surrounded the wounded one, so that the diver ascended. The salvage partv are hopeful ot blocking the holes in the "Waipnra and floating her to-day.
