TENNIS CLUB BAZAAR.

The Oamaru Tennis Club, one of the oldest sports institutions in Oamaru, is holding a bazaar in St. Luke's J-Jall to-morrow and Friday evenings. The Club is justified in this appeal by. the fact that it had the misfortune, in some unexplained manner to suffer the loss by fire of its pavilion, necessitating the erection of another building, and involving considerable unforeseen expenditure. 3>nt the Club is not asking for anything for nothing. The ladies have worked- wonderfully well in the prejiar.'ition of the various goods that will be exposed. for sale, and those who patronise the bazaar are ensured excellent value for their money-. The Committee- has been so fortunate as to .secure the assistance of Mr Potter who has never yet had his name associated with anything that was not a marked success, and is presenting, with the aid. of a very strong caste, a clever comedy '\My Lord in Livery,*' which will undoubtedly prove one of the best efforts made by local amateurs. The Club is conducting an art union for which a number oE very valuable prizes have been obtained. including a nugget worth £lO, ami a number of pictures, the work of the South Kensington »Sch«ol of Art, London ; pictures of a quality far above those usually awarded as art union prizes.
