Carroll scored early in the second half, and Garmicliael converted. A great struggle followed till the close of the game. Both sides narrowly misised scoring. In the Barrow match play in the firsthalf was even, Barrow dropping a goal and Messenger placing a goal from a mark. O'Malley scored an unconverted try in the second half, and Messenger, Walsh, O'Malley, and M'Cabe secured tries whereof Messenger converted two. Barrow added an unconverted try.
