JUNCTION YARDS STOCK SALE. The usual weekly sale was held yesterday. There was an average entry forward, and a good demand existed for all classes of stock. Sheep.—Fat ewes (in the wool) sold at 18s Id, fat ewes (shorn) at lis Id,' aged owes (with lambs at foot) from 6s 7d to 8s 4d (all counted). A line of crossbred ewes (in the wool, with lambs at foot) was withdrawn at auction at 12a per head (all counted). y Cattle.—A full ynrding camo forward of all descriptions, and a good clearance was effected at fully up to late, Fat steers and heifers sold at 30n per hundred lbs,* cows in calf and in milk sold from £4 10s to £9 10s, according to quality, and young cattle sold correspondingly well. Pigs.—Weancrs sold from 12s 6d to 16s.
GAiLiES OF STOCK. There was a fair entry of cattle and sheep at the Ashburton yards yesterday. Store sheeri were in poor demand, and a number of lots were passed in. Fat sheep sold up to late rates. Store cattle sold well. Prices were—Store cattle, springor-8 £5 12s 6d to £7 ss; dairy cows, £6 10s to £8 ; dry cows, £1 2s 6d ; calves, 32s ; fat cattle, steers, £4 10s to £6; heifers, £6 to £B. Fat sheep, crossbred wethers, 17s 6d ; lambs, 15s od j store sheep, two-tooth crossbred ewes and wethers, 13s 2d to Ms 8d ; crossbred owo«, with lambs at foot, all counted, 6s 6d to 12s Bd.
