The quantity of wheat and floor afloat for the United Kingdom is 3.120,000 quarters; for the Continent, 1,545,000 quarters. A cargo of 12,300 quarters of Victorian wheat, January shipment, has been sold at 28a 3d.
Bank shares : Bank of Australasia, 56|; Bank of New South Wales, 40|; Union Bank of Australia, 28J. Shares in National Bank of New Zealand, 2J. Bank of New Zealand 4 per cent, guaranteed stock, 104|. N.Z.L. and M.A Company's 4 per cent, prior lien debenture stock, 94. The copper market is excited, and is quoted at 75. At the tallow sales 950 casks were offered, of which 300 were sold. Mutton : Fine, 253 9d ; medium, 24a. Beef : Fine, 24a ; medium, 22s 6d.
