The most that could be said was that if the Convention agreed to adjournment Queensland might see her way t»> calling Parliament together in June for the purpose of introducing a federation Bill, but no guarantee whatever was given to pass the Bill agreed upon by the Convention. Ho was quite confident that it would be sufficiently elastic to take in Queensland if she wanted to enter. There need be no delay over Queensland. The Convention Bill could be to Parliament the same as in the other colonies and Queensland might then take steps to bo represented at the second Convention. He strongly resented the attempts to bully Queensland into federation.
