The Figaro says that grave events are occurring in the Sultan's palace which indicate a fresh convulsion, which will possibly require the intervention of the army. Constantinople, March 12. Zihny Pasha has resigned the presidency of the R'jform Commission owing to ill-health. Received March 14, at 10.30 a.m. London, March 12. Mr Gladstone, in a letter to tlio Press, recommends the Government to patronise the Armenian relief fund. Mr Gladstone expresses profound astonishment at Lobanoff and NelidofF accepting honours from Turkey. He considers that this, together with her recent attitude on the Armenian question, makes Russia morally responsible for future outrages.
