THE GOTHENBURG SYSTEM.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —It is over a week since I wrote to you on this question. I had asked you to be good enough 'to give your readers an extract from the Times' Commissioners to substantiate your statement that according to that Commission " the Gothenburg plan was worse thanafailure. ' You promised the information in a few days, but the extract is not forthcoming. If you are unable to substantiate the assertion, say so. You also said " the sole licensee in. Gothenburg is a limited company." Would you please say how many places sell drink in Gothenburg, and how many are held under license of the Company? It will be interesting to many who have the liquor question before them, to have the extract upon which you base yout statement that " the plan is worse than a failure.—l am, etc.," Young Colonist, [Will our correspondent be good enough to exercise a little patience.
