Post entry 12s 6d. Distance 5 furlongs. Weight 11 stone up. To start at 2.15 p.m. 5. Spring Handicap, of 25 sovs, 5 sovs from stakes to go to second horse. Winner of Maiden to carry 31b penalty, winner of Cup 101b penalty. Distance 1 mile. Nomination 15s; acceptance 10s, To start at 3p. m. 6. District Hack Selling Race, of 15 sovs. Minimum weight 10 stone. Distance once round the course. Winner to be sold for 10 sovs, any surplus to go to the Club. Jockey Club Handicap, of 20 sovs, 5 sovs from stakes to go to second horse (open). Distance 6 furlongs. Winner of Kurow Cup to carry 101b penalty, winner of Spring Handicap 71b penalty. Nomination 15s; acceptance ss. To start at 4.10 p.m. 8. Consolation Handicap, of 12 sovs, 2 sovs from stakes to go to second horse. Rules and Regitlatioxs. 1. The Dunedin Jockey Club's rules will be strictly adhered to, and the decision of the Stewsirds will be final. 2. Nominations for the Kurow Cup, Handicap Time Trot, Spring Handicap and J. C. Handicap to be lodged with the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on SATURDAY, 14th SEPTEMBER. 3. Entries for the Maiden Plate to be lodged with the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. MONDAY, 30th SEPTKMBER. 4. Acceptances for Kurow Cup, Handicap Time Trot, Spring Handicap and Jockey Club Handicap to be lodged with the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on Monday, 30th September. 5. Handicaps to appear in the Oamaru Mail of 24th September. 6. Horses not at the post at the advertised time of starting are liable, to a fine of two guineas. 7. Five per cent, will be deducted from all winnings for expenses; 8. Nominators to give previous performances and colors of riders. 9. The Trotting Race will be under the roles adopted by the Dunedin Jockey Club. 10. Nominations to be under cover and marked " nominations only."
