Annual Ram Fair.

MrE. P. (on behalf of "the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports as follows : There was a good representative entry from-the breeders of the district, and a clearance was effected at prices'in keeping with the times. The prices, however, compare very favorably with those obtained at other centres. The following are particulars of sales:— On account of Mr A. C. Lang: 1 4-toofch Shropshire Down ram, lift; 1 4-tooth Hampshire .Down . ram, Southdown rams, at fg; 3 2-tooth Border Leicester rams, at Jg. .On account of Mr John Reid : 1 stud 2-tooth Border Leicester ram, 3fgs; 1 do, 3gs ; 1 do, 2Jgs; 1 do, 3gs; 6 flock do, 2gs ; 6 do, l^gs; 18 do, l|gs; 20 flock 2-tooth Shropshire Down rams, at fg. On account of Messrs Little Bros. : 1 stud 2-tooth Border Leicester ram, 4£gs; Ido do, 4Jgs; Ido do, 3Jgs; Ido do, 2§gs; 1 do, 3fgs; 3 flock'2-tooth Border Leicester rams, at 2£gs ; 3 do do, at 2Jgs ; 8 do do, at 2gs, 1 do, at Ifgs. On account of Mr George Ledingham: 5 2-tooth Border Leicester rams, at 2gs; 3 4-tooth do do, at 2gs. On account of Mr E. Meulove : 5 4-tooth Border Leicester rams, at lfgs; 1 2-tooth do do, at lfgs ; 6 4-tooth do do, at ljgs ; 3 4-tooth do do, at ig. The total sales were 102 rams.
