DUNEDIN RACES. (BY telegraph.) Dunedin, May 24. There was a large attendance at the D.J.C. March meeting, despite the rain falling in the forenoon and a shower or two later. Although the sun came out the weather was bleak and cold. No liquor was sold on the course, but private supplies and the issue of passes, which permitted of visits to a hotel quite close to the gates, enabled those who desired to get all they wanted. Speculation was fairly brisk, the amount put through the machine being L 4755, compared with L 4307 last year.
