Quibell's sheep Dip.

The trial of Quibell's sheep dips took place on Tuesday, at Horse Gully, tho property of Mr John Cameron. The attendance was very good, and amongst those present we noticed: Messrs D. Bowie, J. Paton, M. M'lntyre, G. Bisset, E. Paton, J. Cameron, J. Wilson, J. Gibson, James Wilson, and J. Gilchrist. Mr Paterson (the representative of the dip) soon had the necessary quantity mixed to make a start with, and dipping was commenced soon after 8 o'clock and continued till late in the afternoon, between 6000 and 7000 sheep beingdipped. The liquid dip was used at a strongth of 1 in 80, and the powder at 1 in 100, and the simple and easy manner in which the preparation mixed was something remarkable. Some of those present oxpressed themselves strongly in its favor on this point. There were no floating articles,, and no time was lost, there being no necessity to stir up the bath. After being dipped the sheep looked splendid and it was noticed that thero was no uneasiness amongst them, as is the case with a number of other dips. During the day Mr Paterson explained to those present the advantages to be derived from the use of the dips. For the liquid it is claimed that not only is it good for dipping, bub for footrot and lungworm, and prevents wetting.
