The Clerk stated that the Waitaki Road Board bad undertaken tbe work, and bad asked that half payment be refunded. — Agreed to. Mr Todd asked whether tbe reaolution passed at laat meeting railing fresh fenders applied to road opposite Mr Falconer 1 * only. The Cleric replied in tbe affirmative. Mr Menlove seconded the motion, and proposed to add that tenders bo called for the Barnside work at tbe same time.

Mr Meek reported that he and Mr Jackson bad waited oo the Waitaki ft aad Board, at ita last meeting, re the Airdale road being taken over by the County Council, and that that Board was agreeable to the proposal. He also said that the Waitaki Board waa of opinion that, with regard to Girrow's road, no lines should be recognised until a connection with some other road is shown. Oa the motion of Mr Todd, seconded by Mr Meek, the Clerk waa instrocted to Inform the County Council that the Board had paid L 9 16) 4i in forming Henderson's road, and ask it to open it through to Kakanui in accordanca with its memo received 29 ;h July. Accounts amounting to L 7314* 6i were pasaed for payment and tbe Heard adjourned.
