Mr O'Reilly Dease, who has left the bulk of his property to pay off the National debt (saya Truth) was a vary carious gentleman. He made on an 'average half-a-dczen wills every week, and no sooner did he make them than he tore them into minute pieces and burnt them in the fireplace. I suppose he had forgotten to burn the will made on July 31st, 1871. He evidently, at the|moment when this wilt was written, was thinking more of his country than his own soul, for h 6 devised only LIOO to be expended in masses for the repose of that soul, whereas he bequeathed nearly 140,000 to tbs country.
