GAMARU C.C. A'. WAIMATE C.C. We regret that pressure upon our space precludes us from giving a detailed report of the match played between these clubs on Saturday afternoon. From the first it was apparent that the visiting team was over-matched. Their bowling, though good, was collared, and the field had a lively time of it,- the result being that when Waimate went to the wickets the players were somewhat tired, if not dispirited. They had a hard up-hill battle to perform, and little titae before the departure of the train to convey them home, to make the required number of runs to avert a defeat. The bowling and fielding proved too good, and when the last wicket fell only 26 runs ha,d been placed on the scorer's book, the Oamaru team being victorious by 78 runs.
