' ' ■ \ THE foal turned out ' to be Hoariri, r Which proved one of our greatest mudlark sprinters since the days of the noted Bluestone. Besides Country Picnic m foal to Antagonist, three others of the progeny of the brood mare were included m the purchase money,: those horses being Country Life, Country Air and Take Take.. " ■ / Other horses from Country Picnic to race were Perfect Day and Puawhato, while an earlier foal met with a broken limb and never raced. Harry Rama still owns the dam, and of late months won two .vraces with Taneriri (full -broth ei* to Hoariri) at Sydney, and Ellerslie respectively, and hopes to, have this three-year-old rac-' ing at southern winter meetings. He also has a maiden from Country Picnic m work at Ellerslie. There is also an Acre colt m the paddock, while the old brood mare is still alive and thought to be m foal.
