OPTIMIST
When "Put" Hogan7took over the broken down Captain Sarto it looked any odds that he would never get a race out of him. DUT "Put" ' not only got him .to the ~ post; he landed him a winner. The ■■Washdy'ke trainer has now taken another patchwork contract m Pamplona, , probably, the safest jumper' the south has seen m recent years. Lou.. Hazlett -s- horse was prepared very carefully last year and won the only race he started m. He came home on two legs and looked a certainty never to race again. Hogan reckons that Captain Sarto was a worse job when he got him, so only time will tell whether his optimism is justified.
