Komak Is A Distinct Possibility (From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland ' Rep.) When Komak takes to clearing i hurdles safely he should annex good money. \ ■ . CO far he is practically new to the business, despite the fact that he ran away with a hurdle race at Paeroa. However, the fences there were not hard to negotiate, and since then he has toppled out m two of the three hurdle events he has contested— once at Ellerslie and again m his second start at Avondale. ' He went early m his last start, and at the time he was pulling double handy to Clockwork. Had he stood up, he probably would have stayed Clockwork's successful run. Two days .previously he gave the leaders a big start from the home turn and got up second to Roman Abbey. He then certainly gave out great hopes that he would stay on better than most of the hurdle tribe at present eating oats up north. In most of his flat engagements during the * present season Komak was staying on solidly and he has the right condition.
