He pleaded guilty to twp Justices on Monday and was sent along for sentence. : There were two charges of havifig broken and entered dwellings with intent to commit a crime, one being that of an old lady, and the other that of a young Chinese. The third charge also concerned the dwelling of a man from the East; from it money was stolen. Harriet Amelia Alexandre, an aged woman told ho\r she found the young accused m her son's bedroom. Ho told her he had come through the window because he was afraid of a Chinese following him. The old lady told the lad that the back door was the proper entrance. She did not find anything missing from her house. Ma Lik Ming's encounter with Swift was of brief duration but exciting. The young. Chinese went . into his room to find his clothes strewn about and Swift under his bed. The Oriental tackled the unwelcome visitor, but the latter got away, minus a shoe and cap' which were found later m a rhubarb patch. Yee Long put his loss down at 15/-. Someone had got through the window of his house. Acjting-Deteetive A. Allen produced a statement m which Swift admitted the charges. The bright-haired youth will not have to wait long to know his fate.
