Dope

Two Varieties During race time one often hears mention of dope and doping. And there was some dope and doping at Christchurch last week. It wasn't horses howeve,r, who were the recipients. It was the general • public this time. The dope was some very crook liquor that a few hotels put on for the National week. "Truth" does not know if Christchurch sports like the really raw stuff, but we do know that North Islanders don't. > Never a have we received so many complaints about bad liquor — whisky chiefly — and never have we met so many really poisoned men. Most of those affected could trace their trouble to one hotel — an hotel out of the city. North Islanders m future will steer well clear of the place.
