She was like a drunken doll at the finish, but she got there. * # * King Dillon was with the leader for six furlongs m the mile saddle on the first day at Addington,' but when it came to business he stopped. He won on the second day. * # # Darknite is an improved pacer. He went a rattling good race m the mile saddle contest at Addington on Wednesday. He ran second again on Friday. * * # George Grafton is a funny old party. He had a dozen thinks m the mile saddle and finally decided to retire, which he did gracefully. * # # Lincoln Huon was too slow to find his feet at Addington on the first day. He will'have to begin better than that to win a sprint. *• * # Rarebell Direct is leaving- the mark smartly, and a mile saddle is quite within her compass. * # * Dalnahine lost his chance m the August Handicap through swerving round at the start. Once on the journey he went a creditable race, finishing sixth. He acted the fool again on the second day and again lost a lot of ground at the start. • * - * '» Bell Harold ran a patchy race m the August Handicap. He was with the fourth horse as they crossed the line. He broke at the | start m the big i-ace on the second day.
