UNCALLED FOR. Uncomplimentary Remarks. That Hughie Dwyer was robbed of the verdict at Dunedin there is not the least doubt, but Avhy should Dwyer come back to Wellington and vent m print bis spite on McDonald? To this writer the belief is that Dwyer has made a bad break by running down McDonald. Whether a boy be good or bad there is no reason to tell the world. Dwyer must understand that McDonald was : not to blame for the bad decision, and apparently McTJonald was some sort oC a sport, for he agreed to meet Dwyer m a return. If McDonald had liked to. have been nasty he could have told Dwyer to go out and fight somebody else. There was no reason m the world why he shouldn't have done so, but instead of that he agreed to meet Dwyer again. Dwyer m his interview said he did not want to squeal, but if he wasn't squealing what does the cat do when you step on its tail? ■ i
