CHEEKY.
Where Were the Officials? Some people have an over-plus of cheek. At the recent Palmerston tourney one was encountered Who had plenty of cheek, which he followed up with a display of callousness almost unbelievable. Two light boys were fighting a preliminary, and when it was half-way through a well-known Wanganui trainer had to prat himself into one of the corners to offer his advice. Where the officials were I do not know, but to say the least of it they were very lax m letting an outsider butt m. The boy did not ask for assistance, but, of course, it is not the custom of the cheeky gentry to wait till they. are asked.
