SCULLING
Paddon And Hannan.
Nothing definite has yet been arranged m connection with the proposed i Paddon — Hannan match, but the Blenheim scullex* expects to hear from the 1 Australian at anytime now. Hannan says he is quite prepared to row Paddon, but he cannot see his way clear to agree to the race taking place on the Wanganui River for the reason that he has been promised his support) conditionally on the race being 1 rowed on the Auckland harbor. Hannan | explains that he would bo willing enough to row at Wanganui if his backers agreed. It is understood that if Paddon does not agree to row at Auckland, Hannan will endeavor to arrange a match with some other sculler — either Sharpe or Hadfield if possible.
