The annual meeting of the Taranaki Football Association was held at Stratford. The report showed that at the time of the last annual meeting three clubs, StratfOYd, Hawera and New Plymouth, were affiliated, but since then Manala and Auroa had corno in, and there was a prospect of other towns forming dubs before the season proper commenced. The president said that tho* association had had an uphill fight, but was now on Its feet, and in this connection he thanked the Taranaki Rugby Union. The gross profit of the TaranaklAustralian match played at New Plymouth last year was £136, which was forwarded to the. N.Z. Council. Tho Taranaki Association received in return £8 13s 6d as its share of the profits of the tour. Dissatisfaction at this position was expressed at the annual meeting of the association, but the president said they had voted for the pooling of the gates and would have to take the result.
