COUNTRY LABOR.

Dear "Truth,"— lt Is a great pity that the labor laws do not extend far outside the big centres. We have m our village an employer who employs two native horse drivers. One of them drives a wagon and five horses for £3 a week and finds himself. Another drives a three-horse' dray at 30s per week and also finds himself. The hours worked on six days a week are anything up to 16 or 18 daily. — I am, etc., FAIRPLAY.
