DEFENCE STORES.

Dear "Truth," — I would like you to publish this m your valuable columns. Some time Ago the Defence Department issued circulars from all' Post Offices of surplus goods such as boots, coat trousers, and general .clothing etc. Cash must accompany all .orders. I, for one, sent away for various ar- '* tides. " In due oourse I received a. card money received, goods will be sent iri due course; I am still waiting, six weeks" having gone- by, and a friend of mine told me he waited two months. In my order one 'of the articles was "one pair of boots," but I think the bullock is still alive that was going to make the, boots and the hide untanned. lam writing this as d warning for others that might send away and expect a quick reply. — I am, etc., J. H. JOHNSON. Feilding.
