CORRESPONDENCE CONDENSED.

The Forbury Park License. Mr. Allan A. Campbell writes with reference to the Forbury Bootlf incident related by "Truth's" Dunedin correspondent, stating that he has never been guilty of inconsistency m voting at the meetings of the Dunedin Licensing Committee. He says: "On no occasion has Mr. Campbell voted for granting a license to Mr. Helfenan. On the first and last occasion Mr. Heffenan got a license he did so by methods which he could have again used. On that occasion three out of five of the duly elected representatives voted against granting him a license, so you can Judge for yourself how the license was obtained. The Forbury Park Club invited tenders for the licensing privileges for the present season. This is a matter over which they have no control, as it rests entirely with the Licensing Committee. They evidently think they are m a position to rule the roost and dictate their terms, but they will have learned otherwise by now."
