"Tangled Fates" Played out m the frozen wilds, of the Alaskan gold fields, the World Film Corporation's latest dramatic success, "Tangled Fates," to be shown at the Empress Theatre, commencing this (Saturday), is a thrilling story of selfsacrifice and sensational tragedy. The worthless no-account husband of a girl who has been banished from her homo m shielding her younger sister from scandal, goes to Alaska and becomes a profligate waster. In a quarrel he shoots another man, and is lynched by the miners. While the lynching is In progress, the wife arrives on the scene and has a sensational encounter with the woman who has been living with her husband. She escapes, and. finds that she is a widow. A happy denouement is provided m the arrival of the man who has always loved her, and who takes her away from her tragic surroundings. The supporting items are varied and interesting.
