Mr Thomas McKenzie, one of Wellington's oldest and most respected citizens, was the recent recepiemt of an address signed by the President, Vice-President and secretary, en behalf of the Widow and Orphans' Society. Mr McKenzichas acted as secretary for the Society for nearly 58 years, and is mainly responsible for the splendid financial position of the order, and it entirely d,ue to his efforts that they are the owners of their splendid site m Lambton Quay and Grey-street.
