Owing to the rain the Sheffield Handicap, which was to have been held last Wednesday at the Athletic Park, has been postponed until Wednesday next, the" Bth instant. The Handicap (75yds, £20) is open to all ruuners who have not • won more that £10 m any one r a ce. Date of nomination has been extended to today, and closes with the secretary at 9 p.m. at 8 W/illis-street. ' The Park will be lighted by electricity, end given, a fine night, good racing should result. Nominations have been very satisfactory so far, so a big number of heats is assured.
