CRICKET CONTROL
MEETING OF COMMITTEE SENIOR FIXTURES. 'The management committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last evening. Mr C. G. Wilson presiding, Dr. Uttley, headmaster of the Wairarapa Boys’ High School, wrote expressing appreciation at the Wellington association’s action in furthering the interest of cricket in the Wairqrapa by sending tho coach to Masterton. F. T. Badcock’s work had been most effective, and had already made a vast difference to the boys’ style. The Wellington Boys' League were granted wickets at the Basin Reserve on January 17th and 18th to play, representative games against Canterbury. Practice wickets will be available this evening, but no wickets will be prepared to-morrow, January 12th, owing to th© City Corporation employees' picnic being held. It was decided to play the fifth round of the senior championship matches on January 15th and 29th, and the sixth round on Anniversary Day, January 22nd, commencing/ at 10 a.m. The luncheon adjournment will be taken from 1 p.m. to 1.45 p.m. SENIOR FIXTURES Th© senior fixtures for January 15tb and 29th are: Petone v. Midland, at Petone. 'Varsity v. Thorndon, at Basin Reserve No. 1. Institute v. Kilbirnie, at Kilbirnie. Wellington v. Y.M.C.A., at Basin Reserve No. 2. Old Boys v. Hutt, at Hutt. The senior fixtures for January 22nd (Anniversary Day) are:— Petone v. Old Boys, at Petone. ’Varsity v. Institute, at Kilbirnie. AVellington v. Thorndon, at Basin Reserve No. 2. Hutt v.
