HEALTHIER TYPE OF GIRL
WHAT RECREATION HAS DONE
" 1 was struck by the girls of Melbourne—they were well dressed, good looking, and well behaved." This observation was made by Professor W. Hewitaon; master of Knox College, Dunedin, who returned to the Dominion yesterday by the Maheno, in,: the course of an interview with a "Times" reporter. "In conversation with two medical friends,** he added, "I learned that the old anaemic type of womanhood had disappeared, and the girls were healthier and better proportioned than when they commenced practice 30 years ago. This is attributed to exercise and open air life.**
