SWITZERLAND SUFFERING POPULAR “CURE” IN GERMANY "CONVALESCENT SERUM” By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received January 10, 8.40 p.m.) BERLIN, January 9. The symptoms of the influenza prevalent in Germany are high fever, sore throats, and muscular pains, and often pleurisy.' A popular cure is an injection of a so-called convalescent serum, “Oban G F D F,’’ from the blood of persons recovering from influenza. This serum has not yet been properly tested, and most of the doctors prefer to rely on aspirin and quinine. (Received January 10. 8.40 p.m.) GENEVA, January 9. Influenza cases in Switzerland are outnumbering those of the tragic visitation "tt£ 1918.
