INTERESTED VISITORS AVHERE AYOMEN HAA'E THE VOTE. The Corinthic, upon her arrival in Wellington late on Sunday evening, brought several visitors to the Dominion, some in search of health, others in sport —fishing and shooting—while some are interested in our organisations and commerce. Among the arrivals wero Sir Joseph and Lady Davies, who will be in AA’cllington for a few days before going oh to Sydney. Lady Davies is particularly interested in child welfare. She attended Sir Trubv King’s lectures when he was in England some years ago. and now she will see in person tho workings of the New Zealand Plunket system, of which she has always been an ardent supporter. “A great interest is now being taken in Britain in child welfare,” said Lady Davies, “and a number of clinics are being established. We don’t work quite on New Zealand lines—l think you have more health visitors here—but I have always boosted New Zealand, and when we were trying t-o get votes for women ft was a great plank in our platform. Look how New Zealand, where women have the vote, leads the wav in child welfare.”

Lady Davies has been closely associated with the development of the clinic system in South and North Wales, especially in Glamorganshire, where their home is.
