NO SIGN
MISSING .AUCKLAND MAN FRUITLESS SEARCH. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, January 10. A prolonged search yesterday and to-day failed to disclose any sign of Harold Tidd. a single man of 21, who was involved in the boating accident near Motuibi Island on Saturday evening. Further particulars show that the missing man and his cousin, Edwin T. Tidd. left Devonport in a 14-foot sailing boat about 6.30 p.m. AVhen about 400 yards from Motuilii Island the boat capsized. The two men undressed in the water and struck out for the shore. In the darkness Edwin Tidd was separated from his cousjn. When ho reached the shore ho gave a call whioli was answered from the sea. The darkness,- however, made it impossible to locate Harold Tidd. Edwin Tidd and a shepherd continued to search far into the night, but without success.
