TREES MADE INTO TEACUPS
An. industry which has only one factory to represent it has hidden itself for fifty years in the little Norfolv market town of Thetford. From the factory thousands of articles of pulp ware are turned out every week and sent to all parts of the world. Yet f> wpeople in the village, except workers at the factory, really know what it produces. - The pulp ware industry consists in converting Norwegian pine trdes into all kinds of vessels which look like pottery, but are unbreakable. Every kind of household utensil that is made in china-is made in pulp ware, from toilet sets and tubs to drinking mugs and soup plates. Perhaps the most interesting article is a miner’s helmet. About ‘20,000 helmets are sold every year to Australia, South Africa, and India, as well as to English miners. :
