At .the meeting of the Petonc Borough Council on Monday Councillor Seholcfield gave notico that he would move the following motion : "That the council is of the opinion that the time has arrived when preliminary steps should be taken to secure the establishment of a modern building for tho housing of a public rest room tor women, Plunket rooms, and a dental clinic for school children. And that by co-operation of representatives of the aforesaid services, an up-to-date building, meeting all requirements, could be built at a minimum cost, by each body bearing a proportionate share, also, the cost of maintenance and supervision charges of a building so established would be reduced to a minimum." "And further, that the town clerk write to the executive of the Royal N.Z. •Society for the Health of Women and Children (Plunket Society), Petone Branch. Wellington Education Board, Petone Main and West School committees suggesting the holding of a conference of representatives appointed by these bodies, together with tnree representatives of the Borough Council to consider the above-mentioned proposal."
