THEFT BY ACCOUNTANT
OFFENDER SENTENCED NOT A CASE FOR PROBATION. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, August 16. Cyril Tonman Mosley, public accountant, was sentenced to two years’ reformative treatment on eight charges of theit. Mr Justice Adams said that the prisoner realised, fully, the trust imposed in him, and the comparative helplessness of employers and stole upwards of £llOO. To admit him to probation would bring the probationary system to an absurdity.
