THE LICENSING BILL
NEW ZEALAND ALLIANCE RESOLUTION. At a meeting of the standing committee of the New Zealand Alliance held last week, the reply of the Prime Alinister to Air E. \ . Potter, ALP., concerning tlio introduction of the Licensing Bill, stating that “the hill is before the Government, and is receiving earnest consideration,’’ was considered, and tho following resolution unanimously adapted: “That the standing committee of the New Zealand Allianco recalls the Prime Afinister’s specific promise that this session of Parliament should have ail opporti nity of considering licensing legislation. and urges him to expedite tho in treduotion of the proposed bill. Th n views of nil parties baying been repeatedly given before fs'elprt Committee; and in- deputations to the G'p.'ur.ivient. 't is considered that the time is ripe to- Parliament fo take in mediate ■'■-tlnp ”
