IMPERIAL CONFERENCE
POSTPONED A FORTNIGHT AT CANADA’S REQUEST. (Sydney “Sun” Cable.) LONDON, July 22. At Canada’s request, tho Governmont has sounded the other Dominions as to whether they will agree to the postponement of the Imperial Conference for a fortnight. (Receive! tnry correspondent, giving the news of Canada’s request, adds: “If the other Dominions agree, October 19th will be fixed for the opening. The change will in no way inconvenience the British. Government.” The Prime Minister (the Right Hor,. J. G. Coates) stated yesterday that the New Zoaland Government had received official advice from the British Government that at the instance of the Prime Minister of Canada it was proposed to postpone the meeting of the Imperial Conference for a fortnight.
