DESIRE FOR DEVELOPMENT RESOLUTIONS PASSED. Per Pr.., »! HASTINGS, July 23. A meeting of sixty native owners at Te Hauke passed the following resolutions“ That the owners of Poukawa are willing to have the land around Poukawa block No. 13, drained and made fit for occupation; that the native trustee be respectfully requested to visit Te Hauke as soon as convenient to discuss with the Poukawa committee elected by the owners the most satisfactory methods to adopt for the fullest development of the Poukawa area.” The resolutions were placed before Mr H. King, representing the native trustee, who expressed satisfaction at the forward step taken by the native owners.
