A PLEASANT FUNCTION SERVICE HONOURS PRESENTED. The annual smoke . concert of the Municipal Fire Brigade took place last night when Superintendent J. Crock© presided. Others present included Councillors A. L. Monteith, R. McKeen, M.P., M. F. Lucki© (chairman of fire committee), W. H. Bennett, Mr Marcus Marks (chairman of the newly constituted fire board), and Captain Hugo (Government Superintendent), and Captain Watts (of the N.Z. Fire Brigades Association). _ , A number of toasts were honoured during the evening, and Councillor Lnckie presented the following service honours ‘.—Senior Station Officer Garwood, two years silver bar, completing eleven years service; Auxiliary Fireman G Busklev, two years silver bar, competing nine years service; Auxiliary Fireman G. Begram, two years service bar, completing seven years service; Auxiliary Fireman J. Dixon, two years silver bar, completing seven years serVl The following members were awarded silver medals on completing five years service: Station Officer H. Pope and Auxiliary Fireman W. F. Wright. The following members were awarded certificates’ for the completion of two vears service: Senior Fireman H. Bruce, First-class Fireman B. Dynan, Auxiliary Firemen J. H. B. Rankin, L. M.
